Public work survives gigantic natural disaters!

April 19, 2010

i (Drea) designed and excecuted under project manager Gregorio Berchenko

Mosaic I (Andrea Fuenzalida) designed and executed (with help of Patricia Albrecht) for public ocean side plaza in Buchalemu, a town on the coast of Chile under the project leader, sculptor Gregorio Berchenko. This photo depicts The 1.5 meter mosaic after the inauguration 4 years ago.

Same mosaic, Miraculously unharmed, 9.0 earthquake and three tsumani later.  My mosaic has survived! Here you can see it as I saw it April 8th 2010 which was after removal of about 1 meter of sand.
